Bryn Kenney / sporting news wrote:American poker pro Bryn Kenney (GPI No. 50) is on the verge of accomplishing what has become one of the most impressive feats on the live tournament circuit, repeating as champion in the same event the following year. Kenney is one of seven players remaining in the Master Classics of Poker High Roller event in Amsterdam, Holland. Kenney, who earned his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet this summer in Las Vegas, won the MCOP High Roller event last November a few days after finishing 12th in the Main Event, collecting over €118,000 for just a few days work.

Kenney is back at it this year as he is currently one of the seven players remaining in the High Roller event as the Top 6 players will profit and one player will be left empty-handed on the bubble - Kenney certainly hopes that he is not that player. Although star UK pro Stephen Chidwick (GPI No. 12) was recently eliminated, winning the event won't be easy for Kenney as a few other poker pros remain in the field, including German superstar Ole Schemion (GPI No. 9), who has spent a considerable amount of time at the top of the Global Poker Index World Rankings this season. Schemion and Kenney are sitting 1 and 2 in chips at the time of this report.

A win for Kenney would also see him win his second High Roller event in a week! The former World #4 won £100,000 in the High Roller event on the World Poker Tour in Nottingham, England last Tuesday.
Just under €140K awaits the winner of the event. If you want to brush up on your Dutch, you can watch live coverage of the final table on pokercity.nl:
