Unibet Sponsor the 2014 British Poker Awards
Earlier this week, online poker gaming giant Unibet revealed it is the headline sponsor of the 2014 British Poker Awards, something that Unibet’s Head of Poker, Martin Starlos, is delighted about.
“We’re genuinely delighted to have the chance to sponsor the British Poker Awards – the UK is our fastest growing market and being a London-based company, it is a great opportunity for Unibet to get more involved in UK poker.
Earlier in 2014, Unibet left the MPN and launched its standalone poker product aimed squarely at recreational players who want to have fun playing poker. While its cartoon-like graphics and lack of third-party software support isn’t to everyone’s taste, the new Unibet has been well received by those playing at its tables.
Unibet’s shining jewel is the Unibet Open live tournament series, which celebrates its 30th event when it heads to London on November 27.
2014 Unibet London takes place as Aspers at Stratford and sees Golden Cash Games, an Open Face Chinese Poker event, several fun tournaments and the €250,000 guaranteed Main Event, which you can qualify for at Unibet Poker. When the Unibet Open was last in the British capital, 378 players bought into the €1,100 buy-in Main Event and were all outlasted by Pratik Ghatge who walked away with £85,050.
