Hey there allstars whats been going on.
I've been doing good. I'm still going thru online poker withdraws but I have another way to curb my appetite.
I'm building my own 10 man poker table. here is a few pics of it in the making. Hope you all like what you see.
This is my base...
This is the framing for the base to give it strength.
This is a top view of how thick it is as well as the arm rail & race track.
This is a side view.
This is the center that I will felt with speed cloth (green)
Here is the base of the table
Here's the base painted black
Here's the base of the table painted black.
Here is the base and top together. Still very early stages of this project...
Table top on top of painted base.
Ok now the fun really begins...
This was kind of easy until I tried to cut it all out..my hands were running out of gas and it got very hard to cut towards the end.
I'm taking the 4" arm rail and gluing it to the foam. I measured the 1" closed cell foam 1" wider on both sides of the rail. This is to help cover the sides of your arm rail.
Now comes the really good stuff.Installing the cover.
You need a whole lot of patience's to do this... I found out there is a lot of pulling of staples re-stretching the cover re-stapling and so on and so forth. It took me and my girlfriend nearly 2 days to get this perfect. Patience Patience Patience...
Shown here are all the staples that are in this. (After pulling staple and re-stapling.)
Here I have it back on the table just to get an idea of what she's starting to look like.
Well Folks you are up to speed with me and my project...I'm still waiting on my cup holders which will be here on Monday the 8th. I will then cut in 10 holes on the race track, Stain and polyurethane the race track put the felt in the center and then sit back and rake in pot after pot while entertaining all my friends... as soon as I progress in the rest of this project I'll post all updated pics in this post so you allstars can see the final results... Take care my friends....
