About Lucky Ace Poker

Lucky Ace poker may be a relatively new site, but the team behind it is in no way an inexperienced one. Cassava Enterprises, the company behind Lucky Ace Poker is also the one that is behind, Pacific Poker, Casino On Net as well as Reef Club Casino. These people have been around at the beginning of the golden days of the online gambling industry. They know everything about it, they know why security is important and they know how to provide it in an optimal manner. They are the proud owners of one of the longest track records in online gambling, a record which unlike many others is spotless to this day.
The random number generator used by Lucky Ace is the battle tested MD5 and play logs are available for all players to analyze.

The Cassava network is also host to Pacific Poker and to a whole bunch of weak poker players. From that point of view, Lucky Ace Poker is an attractive destination, however the site (like Pacific Poker) features a rake which is slightly above the industry standard and that will take away some of the value provided by the loose  competition, but overall the site remains a very reasonable deal.

Lucky Ace Poker Software

Lucky Ace Poker’s software is the same one as Pacific Poker’s. There are 3D-like avatars and graphically speaking the interface is smooth, yet crisp and clean, not to mention tastefully colorful. The software has gone through a major overhaul in early 2008, and since then it has been one of the best on the market. There are three table views players can choose, as well as some nice search features.

The great graphics on the interface are just the cherry on the cake though, as there is much more to Lucky Ace’s software. Players can take notes on their opponents during play, flops viewed percentages are available as well as a bunch of other useful statistics like average pot sizes etc.

Multi tabling is available at 4 tables simultaneously. This has never been one of the stronger points of the software and even now it is only available at this relatively low number of tables. Game speed is excellent though even when all 4 tables are open and the software remains as stable as ever. Mini views are available of course too.

A unique and may I add very useful software feature is the “confirm all-in” one, which will save you a lot of money in those heated multi table battles.

All in all, the software is excellent, although multi-tabling could be enhanced with the addition of a few more tables

Lucky Ace Poker Tournaments

Lucky Ace Poker’s flagship tournament is their weekly $100,000 GTD to which qualifiers run all week long. Lately, their guarantees have been covered regularly. Although Lucky Ace is widely recognized as a low stakes tournament player’s paradise, they do host a $20,000 tournament daily. Most of their regular tourneys though are low buy-in ones, and because of that, good tournament players are supposedly scarce at the site. They have SNGs too, which start up as soon as required player numbers fill up, Oddly enough, the most popular SNGs at this site seem to be the 3-6 handed ones and not the 10-handed ones most other sites push.
As far as freerolls go, new depositors play in quite lavishly prize-pooled $1,000 ones.
